If it's for personal reasons, can you ask for an extension? This doesn't sound like something where you've just been playing Halo, but where you've had good reasons for not being able to write it.

I got excused for some things I missed directly already, so I'm not sure if I can get away with asking for more upcoming allowances because of lingering mental trauma. I dunno. The school issues I mentioned are basically administration unrest, so there's just a lot of uncertainty going around right now.
