It was started to bring attention to the massive government corruption in Mexico and subsequent riots that were going on at the same time the world media was covering Ferguson. And yet it gets dismissed as racist because heaven forbid a nation rising up against oppression ever be recognized when one black person dying can dominate the news.

So no, it shouldn't make you angry, or not how you think. All lives includes black lives.

So it was about ethics in video games journalism?

Wow, a GamerGate reference for no reason. And a line used to mock it despite it being literally what the movement is about, no less.

Get back to me when you can at least be relevant in your trolling.

Exactly.

da
Given that #blacklivesmatter started as an American movement in response to several events in America, and there's fuck all America could do about Mexican governmental corruption or riots whereas they sure as shit can do something about the corruption in their own country's police forces...seems like a massive derail tactic more than anything else. So yes, be angry, it's not irrational.

American news covers the rest of the world too, the US is right next to Mexico, and the WORLD news was more concerned with Ferguson than with anything happening in Mexico.

Even TO AMERICANS, there's more to the world than the US. And the fact that MENTIONING anything else going on even continues to be seen as derailing shows how single-minded people are. Heaven forbid we be concerned with more than one thing at a time! Heaven forbid we recognize the world outside the US!
