You assume that nobody claims the same of men though. If anything, men who claim abuse are accuse of lying even MORE than women are.

And simply going off the known facts, including police statements, it does in fact point to her lying.

What? I didn't say this at all. I am not sure where you are getting that from or what that has to do with the secret at all. (Also, the fact that men are ofen disbelieved in cases of abuse mostly goes back to misogynist ideas of "men are strong. Women are weak", so there's that...)

And about her lying? Really? Because I wouldn't say that, quite to the contrary. There definitly is not proof she is a liar. And while that does not prove her right, it still shows that you are willing to judge her on really unclear facts, while claiming that it would be wrong to do that to Johnny.

The idea of men being strong and thus can't be victimized is misandry. It has nothing to do with misogyny though it usually goes hand in hand with it.

"Really unclear facts" despite the police saying there's no evidence of abuse and her bruises didn't show up until FAR after they usually would.

Nah, the idea that men can't be victimized comes from the men=strong women=weak dichtonomy and that is firmly rooted in misogyny. To stereotype an entire group as strong is harmful, but not hateful.

Look, idk what happend, but the case is not finished and a judge felt there were enough grounds for a restraining order, so I'd say it's unclear enough that I would not go around calling someone a liar.
