Because Sasuke is a complete and utter dick bag who tried to kill his former teammates time and again and even set out to destroy his home village because he blamed the village for what happened to his brother, DESPITE THE FACT that his brother WILLINGLY went into exile after killing their family BECAUSE he loved the village so much and wanted to protect it.

Hell, one of the reasons he wanted to kill Naruto was because he considered him his best friend...just to try and make the Mangekyou Sharingan to acitivate when they were 12-13 years old.

He never saw Sakura as an equal and when he tried to kill her, it was because he saw her as an obstacle that was in his way. That's it. So his sudden "love" for her at the end of the series, RIGHT AFTER HE HAD GENJUSTUED HER INTO ONCE AGAIN BELIEVING HER TO BE TRASH AND THE LIKE, was fucking out of left field.

He never gave a shit about anyone but himself and his petty revenge until it was considered convenient.

That's why people hate that pairing. That's why I loathe that pairing.
