Wait, he did what???

(Anonymous) 2016-06-07 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it was just a joke comment but he said once in an interview thag they were out somewhere and the guide "said not to take stuff, so of course we all took stuff..." and then then come to think there were also some problems with Scorch Trials or whatever the second one was cAlled.

I'm not native American but I thought the same thing! You're not alone.

I *am* NA and I totally thought that, too. But, tbh, I'm a really bad one, so....

tbh, accidents are really common in filming. But if he really did that...that's pretty dickish.

You feel bad for thinking that sacred artifacts might be cursed?

I almost wish my country's sacred artifacts were believed to be cursed.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-08 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, you might be right!

It was eventually brought out that it wasn't a sacred land, and nothing of importance was taken. He told a story on a talk show because Live with Kelly people called his people, and they had to come up with something interesting to say. Thomas Brodie-Sangster and another one of the actors had already started talking about this particular story long before Dylan mentioned it.

tl;dr: He did nothing wrong.

This is so gross on so many levels.

First of all, none of the Maze Runner cast took "sacred artifacts". The owner of the ranch said himself that yes, there are certain areas on his property that are burial grounds sacred to the tribe but the movie was not shot in those areas. So whatever the cast picked up and took home - rocks, pebbles, whatever - was literally just shit they found on the ground.

Secondly, I'm not sure if you know just how fucking AWFUL his accident was. It EASILY could have been fatal. Thank God it wasn't but he was literally dragged underneath a moving car, had to have facial reconstructive surgery, and is STILL in recovery.

It was not the result of some racist ass "curse"; it was a stunt gone horribly wrong.

Wow, I didn't know it was that bad. I was vaguely aware he'd been in an accident, but I didn't want to look it up because it felt a bit... IDK, like going to look at the site of an accident for thrills or some shit. Sort of voyeuristic or something.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-08 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
"racist ass curse" lol. damn curses stop being so racist!

This is a pretty ridiculous overreaction, Dylan O'brien Stan.

At least in one country...

...sacred things are taken secretly. I believe it was Shannon Airport in Ireland that had to be moved because of the Sacred Mound? The engineering company wanted to flatten the mound but all the workers downed tools because it's cursed to fuck with any sacred shit.

All my relatives are from there, it was an eye opener to see how intensely seriously stuff like that is taken, the way it SHOULD be for other cultures TBH.
