I think I'm one of the only people who actually liked the Vogler arc in the first season. I think I liked most of those kinds of storylines more than most people I've heard from. I've always had a low tolerance for the power fantasy of the genius asshole who gets away with being an asshole because he's just so smart. I could enjoy his trollishness a lot of the time but more so when people were really reacting and not just letting it go all the time.

god, this. I liked the sparks he and House struck off of each other and the whole arc was an interesting illustration of why you can't run a hospital like a corporation.
