Varies by crime.

Non-domestic violent crimes generally get the longest sentences, and barring a few very select circumstances involving plea deals for serial killers, they don't really need to be changed.

Domestic violence and sexual assault both need much harsher sentencing. Right now, they're barely a slap on the wrist.

Sentences for nonviolent drug-related offenses are a work in progress, and in general need to be harsher on dealers, and treat users in a medical rather than criminal capacity.
