I hate that adderall is a controlled substance which means I have to call my doctor to renew my prescription every month. I've been putting it off for days. I don't even know why. It's not that hard. I just don't want to have to do it.

Stuff like that can feel like a huge chore to me even though it usually takes only a few minutes. Maybe it's anticipating the potential of being put on hold? :/

Well the other part of the "why is this so hard?" thing is that my doctor is super understanding about social anxiety and has told me to go ahead and leave a message in the middle of the night when I know no one's there if that's easier and they lay out exactly what to say in the message.

I should really just go do this now.

As someone who takes care of my parents meds, I know how annoying it can be to call doctors about meds. I don't hate doing it, it needs to be done and all, but depending on the doctor...it can be stupidly difficult to get in touch with them, and I always feel so awkward over the phone so I dread it.

So no matter your reasons, I sympathize. Having to call every month isn't fun at all; a prescription for a couple of months would be kinder, but I know things don't work that way with all meds.

I can't imagine having to take care of my parents meds. It's hard enough dealing with my own.
