I'm not calling for them to be arrested and re-educated. I'm asking them to do something to counteract their contribution to the normalization of rape and abuse.

So what do I as someone who has secret fantasies no one knows about of being kidnapped, held hostage and coerced into sex, need to do to counteract the supposedly harmful effect I've had on society with my secret twisted fantasies?

What people wank to doesn't normalize shit. If it did, a whole lot of fetishes would be a whole hell of a lot more mainstream.

People flipping out and frothing at the mouth about horrible evil monster abusers! Literally Satan! does a lot to further the insidious undermining of abuse victims' experience, though, since it makes it all the easier for people to decide their friends and loved ones can't be abusers, not being horrible caricatures and all.

+1. I wasn't abused myself, but abusers often appear quite normal to other people, who then have a hard time believing the victim.
