They're not wrong. Bernie winning the nom wouldn't have made Trump go away. We would still be looking at an extremely stupid election season full of negative campaigning from the right, the possibility of a Trump victory in November...

In the alternate reality where Bernie is President, well the system still wouldn't be dismantled overnight so we'd be seeing a lot of obstruction in Congress, the struggle to take back the House and Senate, maybe something similar to the Birther nonsense about our new commander in chief.

The country didn't magically become like this and it isn't going to magically change.
