While technically true, when it comes to older artists like David Bowie and Prince people tend to think of them as icons not because of one particular song, but because of their entire body of work. Particularly since both of them come from a time when albums were made to be listened to as a whole. Bowie has 27 studio albums and Prince has 39... and that doesn't include live albums, soundtrack albums, etc. I can see why it'd be intimidating.
