I feel the same way about the "save the ta-tas" thing. I have friends and family who struggled with breast cancer and it still makes me cringe on many levels. One, because there are other types of cancer which don't receive half the amount of attention that breast cancer receives, even if they're more deadly. Two, because like you said, it's as if people can't be bothered to care about cancer unless it's about saving boobies.

Also sometimes you need to jettison the tatas in order to save the woman connected to them.
