Man I need to get on this re-run thing. I want to get all the DLC first. But I've been putting it off because apparently that's a pain in the butt.

Do you have all the DLC?

I bought all the story DLC for ME2 and ME3. (What I didn't get from pre-ordering special editions and whatnot.) It was expensive, but so far completely worth it! I especially liked the Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord, and Omega DLC. Citadel is apparently the best thing BioWare has ever done, but I've been saving that one for last.

One day I'd like to play the original Mass Effect's DLC, but I really wanted to play ME2 and ME3 more first.

It is a pain, but if you have the funds and don't mind paying, the DLC has been pretty excellent and it adds a lot to the experience and story. (I'd be interested in hearing what you thought of them, if/when you play.)

Oh I definitely will play them! Unfortunately, I'm such a completionist about things that I really want to get the ME1 DLC too and that's supposed to be...difficult.

Eek, it might be... I hadn't actually checked it out yet, but I always assumed I could get them later.

I loved the original Mass Effect, but I was so much more into the gameplay and presentation of the series in 2 and 3 that I skipped to them again. I'll go back, but I had no patience at the time to deal with the controls again, lol.

If it's too difficult to get you could always watch a walkthrough, but I know that isn't the same, especially with a game like Mass Effect where the experience is such a personalized one. That's why I don't watch walkthroughs of BioWare games, unless I just want to check out a short moment I missed/haven't got to see yet and am insanely curious about.

I think you have to pirate some of the ME1 stuff because it's no longer available for purchase. (I try to avoid pirating but I have no qualms with it if you literally CAN'T buy the thing anymore!) But it's a little bit complicated to do. I'll get around to it heh.

Oh, damn. That's irritating.

I'm with you in that I see no problem with it being pirated if it isn't readily available, but since I play Mass Effect on 360 that would be a problem...

Now I wish I had a PC version of the games, but I spent a lot of money on ME (including the DLC'S), so I'm not paying for it again right now. lol.

ahhh see I didn't realize you were on console (or if I did, I forgot). I have them on Steam (and Origin for 3 because fuck you EA).

My understanding is that the DLC for 1 isn't as good as the stuff for 2 and 3, so you're probably not missing that much.

I played Mass Effect on console, but Dragon Age on PC. At the time of Mass Effect's release my computer wouldn't run the game, so I bought it on console, then later when I heard about Dragon Age I decided to buy a new PC that could run it. Instead of switching from 360 to PC I stayed with it, and it was still an incredible experience, I just would've liked the ability to screencap the hell out of the games...

So I'll try to play Andromeda on PC if at all possible. Hopefully there's a Dragon Age Keep type thing to input your previous choices.
