Can you filter things out in searches on AO3? I've been trying to find a way to do that (not very hard, admittedly) but haven't noticed anything.

There is some complicated search string, but you have to manually enter it each time. The filter there is pretty crap.

Uh oh. Now you've done it. A horde of AO3 stans will be here in a minute to explain how it is the most wonderful and easiest to use story archive which can do no wrong out there on the web.

They must be stuck in traffic.

It's the best one I've seen and relatively easy to use. But it's by no means perfect.

Yeah it's my favorite place to go for fic but still I've had some issues with searching.

On a normal browser, you can use the AO3 savior. It filters out all the things you specify, no matter if you're in the search or just browsing normally (you may have to enter several versions of the same tag, though. I think I have about 8+ versions of m-preg in that list).

On mobile, the only way is to enter a -"thing you want to filter" rats tail into the "search within results" field with all the things you want to avoid. It's far from perfect and kind of annoying, and it obviously only works if people tag properly, but at least it works somehow.

I'll have to look into that. Thanks.

You're welcome! I'd suggest keeping an additional file with all the filtered tags you collect over time, in case an update or some unlucky click on the wrong thing clears the script.
