I know there's a small chance of them casting true to race, but I was hoping that by putting it out there, whoever bought the rights would keep that in the back of their mind and at least make SOME effort to not whitewash.

What I didn't expect was the author to go 'lol i've been accused of racism before but they could cast a white actress and dye her hair blonde and i'd be happy.'

Because casting directors spend lots of time examining an author's blog before doing their jobs. Yes. That is totally a thing.

Newsflash... if they don't care what the author thinks in regards to casting, they really don't care what Random Fan #47 thinks.
