I don't understand why the junior high school I work at decided to stop grading last week, when school isn't officially over before July 5th. The last week of school is always about dicking around because only five or six kids show up. But before that? the kids are going to give no fucks because no more grades, and I still have a lesson schedule to go through.

They're not supposed to know, but the word always ends up spreading. Plus for some courses they're giving back the borrowed school books tomorrow and the day after, so this has tipped them off. They're also convinced they *don't* have to go to school anymore after they gave the books back. It doesn't matter for my course because the schoolbooks are in the classroom, but still.

September 2nd. TBH the schools start emptying themselves after mid-June.

Isn't attendance taken even if there aren't any grading? I know it was back when I was in school.
