And as horrifying as it is...two in a year doesn't make a pattern here. There's gun violence daily in the US, and several mass shootings in the past few years were done by non-Muslims, as well as many of the most famous in our history with gun violence. It is a gun violence problem as much as it is a radical Islam problem, and in the grand scheme of things, probably more.
Re: We've officially had the worst shooting in US history
(Anonymous) 2016-06-13 04:07 am (UTC)(link)It's absolutely the 133rd mass shooting in the US so far this year. Which means even if it does turn out to be ISIS-related, there have been 131 mass shootings in the US that have precisely fuck all to do with ISIS.
If 98.5% of the mass shootings have nothing at all to do with your bogeyman, you need to look elsewhere for the root of the problem.
Re: We've officially had the worst shooting in US history
(Anonymous) 2016-06-13 06:33 am (UTC)(link)And even if every mass shooting was connected to Islamic terrorism, the fact they have the ability to get weapons in the first place in the U.S. should be a logical, valid concern for that reason alone, if nothing else.
