I tried watching Star Wars TFA and got super bored. But I am interested in the fic with Hux/Kylo. Is it worth watching the movie or can i just read a plot summary?

They barely interact at all. The only thing you need to know from canon is that Hux reacts to Kylo throwing a temper tantrum and demolishing a wall with his lightsaber with an unruffled "oh dear, not this again" sort of sigh.
