She is going to jail for the rest of her life. Her actual guilt or innocence is irrelevant at this point. What matters is she is the only surviving person with a close relationship with a person who embarrassed America on the international stage with his murders. Someone has to be offered up to sate the mob and to show everyone that the full majesty of Law and Order is unimpeded. The authorities have got to make an example of someone in order to remain in control, and (barring the discovery of some heretofore unknown accomplice who will spontaneously confess and take the fall) it is going to be her. That is just how it is going to be.
