You should wear padding to protect everyone from that edge.

What's "edgy" about not liking a particular performance, even an award winning one? It's not as if it's a rare or particularly revolutionary pov.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-16 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Huh? I'm not sure you even understand what "edgy" means.

He is just weird now that he is older. His face didn't age well at all. He looks washed up - maybe he should stick to talking about marine stuff. But he keeps making movies.

He'd look fine IRL if he'd lay off the bronzer, ax the bad facial hair and stop slicking his hair back to such an extreme. But all three combined make him look like a drowned (kind of tubby) rat.

Are the same people making all of the references to how actors look? I've been seeing a lot of really shallow talk, in recent weeks on FS.

In regards to Leo, I went off him after "Wolf of Wall Street" which I hated and saw as promoting an absolute psychopath in Jordan Belafont (who makes money from the film). Yes, he is a great actor, I'll admit. But so are a lot of actors and not all of them have Oscars, which is a highly politicised show, anyway. As a result, the whole 'give Leo an Oscar' buzz just irritated me. As for this film, haven't seen it and don't plan to.

This is the only one I've made of late. And there's nothing wrong with swimming in the shallow pool sometimes.

After I heard he wasn't getting raped by the bear I lost interest in the movie rather quickly. Damn internet getting my hopes up.

lmao

Thanks for the laugh, I needed that.

I must admit, I was bored.

I don't think his acting was bad, but it certainly was not his best role.

I enjoyed this movie but while I liked his character well enough, I don't think this is the role that should have finally won him an award.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-15 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a pity Oscar.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-16 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Oh definitely!
If anything I think he should have won for The Departed

(Anonymous) 2016-06-16 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
It was boring af but I've always been a fan of Leo's acting. I was hoping he'd get the Oscar so he could be free to pick more interesting roles.

...wait, by which I didn't mean Rumi the Persian poet wtf.

Sympathy Oscar.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-16 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree totally, this movie was so boring and I didn't give a shit about any of the characters
