Orphaned Fandom-related Scenes

Sometimes, you don't have a full-on story premise or plotbunny, but you have a strong mental image of a scene involving the characters in your fandom, even if you have no idea what the context of that scene, or the story that led up to it, or where things would go from there. You just have the scene.

So, tell us about scenes like this that are sitting around inside your head!

Star Trek TNG

I love the idea of a huge mass of cargo ships doggedly towing a gazillion tons of slag and wreckage of Starfleet ships off to a shipyard after the Battle of Wolf 359.

Different TNG!

I've been playing around with the idea of Wesley *appearing* on the bridge all beat to hell just in time to help the Enterprise avoid trouble and then goes comatose and they hook him up to a Holodeck and have to traipse through his memories and nightmares to figure out what's going on.

The scene in my head is he calls Data over to him and Data takes his hand. And then somehow through a series of taps with his fingers, Wesley is able to communicate the holodeck idea. Data nods and Wes says "I knew you'd understand" before passing out.

But I have clue what happened to Wesley, what the danger is, what anyone could see that would help or how anything is resolved.
