Honestly as a feminist this poster didn't really bug me. I just thought it was a scene of bad guy verses good guy, showing the bad guy is EXTRA SCARY. plus Mystique is one of the main characters so it makes sense for her to be the one on the poster.
however, someone pointed out you would rarely see 2 men where one is being choked and subjugated on a poster. it is sorta a weird tone for the movie too, its overall a pretty fun movie.

BUT also I've never been in a situation with domestic violence so maybe if i had i would find it more upsetting. I don't want to disregard other peoples feelings on the subject and they probably could have picked a better poster.
