He was discussing his first supporters, who appear to have been housewives and sahm. It wasn't the best of phrases, I'll grant you, but nowhere near the hoopla it got.

I live in Ohio. Kasich is just as much of a frothing right-wing nutjob, he just hides it behind his "only adult in the room" schtick. It doesn't mean he's better than any of the others who've run.
