OP: I've been reading her stuff and stuff about her for years. Nothing more than petty little things have come up yet, and surely nothing that justifies the amount of hate she gets. You've got to educate me, because I really don't get it.

What, like her painting prolific sexual/psychological abuser and cult leader Andrew Blake as some Byronic tragic figure isn't bad enough?

But even more so how she tricked/manipulated people that AB has harmed into tell her "all" for the article promising for a fair and balance piece and she didn't use most of what she learned AND THEN blaming it on the website for editing the article so AB looks like a misunderstood wobbie rather than the frankly dangerous person he has proven himself to be.

Aja keeps trying to make herself relevant to fandom in ways that just seem to piss people off.

And once she gets on her high horse about something, she will not back down even if she is proven wrong.

I think most of the hate is petty and most of her silly actions are petty. But she's also obsessed with making fandom mainstream (see in particular her articles about hockey RPF and refusing to take them down) in order to make herself more important and this is fucking annoying.

On a more serious note, her promotion of Andrew Blake and outright lying to his victims, then blaming it all on her editors.
