(Anonymous) 2016-06-21 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)There was an interview with the showrunner released after the series finale, where he said Amy and Karma would've gotten together eventually, but it ultimately wouldn't have worked out and they would've decided they were better off as friends. Whether that was because Karma realized she really was straight, or for other reasons, I don't know.

Out of verse, the writers seemed to think that the show could only go for as long as they could drag out the "will they or won't they?" plotline re: Karmy, and so it's not a surprise to me the show tanked in the third season when people got tired of that bullshit.
