Implanon! Idk why but my body decided to halve the effects of my period (used to be if be unable to walk for 3 days etc. my mum was similar until she had me) - but for some reason it's every 2 weeks. I even got a period tracker to make sure I wasnt imagining it.

Doc reckons I could have PCOS but if I do I'm not presenting in any other way. I think I have a year left if this type of implanon. I might ask to try the other hormone type next time and see how it goes.

That's really interesting, I've never heard of a birth control that increased period frequency.

Neither had I, until it happened! The first few months it us expected but mine just never settled down? I had the option to take it out but there's always the risk of nerve damage in my arm so I want to reduce how often I get the implant. so figured since its not increasing pain or actual out put I'll roll with it and switch to the other implanon when it is time. I'll leave some months in between in case my body has settled down and I don't need it at all.

(Although I appreciate the insurance against pregnancy if I yknow get raped or something :/)

ah, another one of those "birth control primarily for period control" folks? the majority of the ladies I know on BC are taking it for period-related reasons too. xD

I was a little confused that you were taking it bc I thought you were gay but then wondered if I was mixing you up with someone

I think it's my implanon injection! Used to be 4 weeks on the dot and horrible. Now it's every 2 weeks and bearable. Maybe I'll get menopause earlier?
