The Inhumans - as much as I love them - are way too fucking weird-ass and Jack Kirby to be a good movie property. I feel pretty confident that's the reason. I feel pretty confident that no one in Hollywood is out here caring deeply about easily retconned unfortunate implications.

I don't know. That's what people said about Thor, Captain America, the Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man, and all of those properties have been reasonably to very successful financially, and some very good movies have come from the Cap, GotG and Ant-Man franchises. (I love Thor as a character, but his movies were rather mediocre, especially Thor: The Dark World. I'm hoping the third time will be the charm for that franchise and we'll get a Thor movie that's actually good.)

I think if Marvel Studios could make properties as weird as Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man work, they can make just about anything work.

That's exactly what people said about GOTG, and it ended up being the biggest movie of 2014.

Just saying.

Guardians was already a popular comic series, has inhumans ever been a success?
