I think some variation of that was a pretty common headcanon for people not pleased by the pairing. Variations can go in different directions on how intentional it is on Rinoa's part, but I like that you say you think of it as not conscious.

Yeah, I don't think Rinoa is a bad person, so she wouldn't do something like that to somebody ske liked on purpose. And if she ever found out that's why he fell in love with her, she'd be horrified (which is how I imagine their relationship ending eventually).
