I'm 30. But I'm living home while looking for a job. And this vacation is with their car, their money for food, their friend's condo. So I don't feel like I can fight them too much on things. I did have a conversation with him, but he wouldn't budge. And I didn't want to push it because then he'd get mad and it would probably ruin the vacation for everyone.

Ah, ok. People do what they have to do in difficult financial situations. I respect that.

But as soon as you get out on your own again, it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past time to shut that shit down.

The sad thing is, we've had discussions about it before. But whenever I'm home things go back to the same. My sister rarely even visits home anymore. But I've always been kind of a homebody and I'm close to my family. But at least when I'm living on my own I don't have to deal with it (other than reminders of things I should do or questions about things I'm supposed to do when we talk on Skype).

They just can't comprehend the idea of parent/child relationships being different when said child is an adult.
