I think OP covered that in their secret, they said the fans of this pairing don't ever portray it that way, it's portrayed as 'cutesy'. With how bad I've seen fandom woobiefy Hanzo, I believe it too.

(TBH I've personally never understood hate pairings. How are they a "pairing" when they...truly hate one another? o.O)

I'm indifferent to it, mostly because I prefer Genji with Zenyatta and Hanzo with McCree (and 76. And Reaper. All together.), but at the same time I also kinda dislike it, and not because they are brothers, but because Hanzo is pretty much a butt and Genji's too good for him, lmao.

Lol, I think it's pretty valid for OP to be squicked by people going "OHMYGERD SEXXXAY" about this pairing. The dude tried to kill his own brother (and thought he succeeded) because he got ~angry~. Hanzo's pretty much an ass. As the anon above me said, Genji is too good for him, even if I were to disregard the whole "HE TRIED TO MURDER HIM" thing.

Fandom already is woobiefying Hanzo to the max. So...yeah, boring, tired as fuck trope, angsty woobiefied villain...fuck, for me at least I guess I would say judge away about my pairings all you want, because I'm in OP's camp here, this pairing is gross.

My problem with Hanzo/Genji is that it's so painfully cliche and boring. Hanzo/Mccree and Genji/Zenyatta are vastly superior imo.

tbh, this is less a problem with the ship specifically and more a problem with the fandom in general - every fic ive seen that has the brothers in it, shipping them or not will act this way and it bugs me SO MUCH because, as someone who loves Hanzo, my favourite thing about him is that he's kind of a fucked up asshole? I mean jesus most of his ingame dialogue with Ganji is Genji reaching out to him and Hanzo throwing it in his face. THAT'S the relationship I wanna read about damn it, not this weird happy thing the fandoms cooked up.

I'm p indifferent to the ship because I'm not particularly interested in the dynamic or overly attracted to the characters.

But, tbh, if they were actively trying to murderise each other brutally I could probably get behind it a lot more. muderfucking is my jam.
