Uhhhh. Boy. I see where you're coming from, but I don't think there's anything wrong with being hurt or in pain. I don't think there's anything wrong with being comforted. I think compassion and empathy are pretty much great things. I don't think there's anything to be celebrated about repressing or ignoring pain. Pain is real and the best way for dealing with it is straightforwardly helping each other out. That doesn't mean giving up but to be perfectly honest, calling people who are in pain whiny and fragile is pretty fucking far away from anything I would want to do or be as a human being.
