I sort of feel like this...legitimizes them, in a way? Or at least in their own opinion. Like the quiet racists suddenly feel they can act on it, if that makes sense.

Yeah I 100% get what you mean, like the main issue the Leave campaign kept touting was stopping immigration(which they've gone back on now, welp) so it just incensed all the deeply racist and xenophobic shitheads that exist here and Leave winning just makes them think that they have the right to act like this.

It's not, and shouldn't be but fuck knows how we get them to shut up now.
