Re: I don't think I'm going to like FFXV

What you saw in the demo is a very, very small slice of what the story is. While there are no women in the main party there are still important female characters. Cindy/Cidney will apparently be one you see a fair amount due to her being your mechanic. Lunafreya is a big one (though her story will in large part be played out in Kingsglaive from my understanding of it). There's also her attendant, Gentiana, who will apparently be vital to the story as well. I think we've seen a glimpse of a different female character in a trailer too, though I'm not a 100 % certain of this. I assume at least one female character will be a guest party member at one point or another. Obviously you may still not like that the main party is four men, but to say there are no main female character is just plain wrong.

I personally like that this is a bro road trip to be honest. We had sort of the same thing with women in X-2, and it'll be nice to see the different dynamics in an all-male team. From what we've seen I like how they act together, which is not at all the typical übermacho Hollywood no-homo dynamic often seen in male friendships. It feels a bit refreshing, and I genuinely believe they are friends from what has been shown.

I disagree with most of what you say here, but in particular, I would not point to the existence of Cindy/Cidney as a selling point on this game not being misogynistic

I'm not saying Cindy/Cidney is not a misogynistic portrayal. Her design points to her being one, even with less jiggly breasts than the original design. Tabata has tried to defend it by saying she's not intended to be a sexual character, which is bullshit in my opinion.

But she is a female character (in a typically male role, which I like) that will be around for most of the game I assume. Considering how vital the roadtrip aspect of the game is I would say she comes off as a fairly important character due to her role as a mechanic. If her character had been less sexualised I wouldn't have a problem with her at all from what has been shown of her.
