It's not that male bonding is bad, but the constant glorifying of it as some big essential part of """Being a man""" is. It is not a spiritual thing. It is not an important part of human growth. Men do not need to bond with other men to be complete.

It is not bad, but in spite of what media will tell you it's not good, either. It's just a means for men to share things, experiences, drives, things within themselves, all kinds of things that chiefly they don't want women to be a part of. In a setting like that very bad ideas about men and women can thrive and spread like a virus. The setting isn't bad, the bonding isn't bad, but giving men an opportunity to exchange ideas outside of the larger society, outside the view of any women, that can lead to some very very bad things.
