Goosebumps and the like
(Anonymous) 2016-06-27 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)It was called "Deep Trouble" and was about sea monsters and mermaids.
Mostly I read it because it's summer, and I felt like reading something beach-y and I found it in a "little free library." I knew I'd read it as a kid, but couldn't remember what it was about.
Do you ever go back and reread dumb kids' books like this?
And can you recommend any other books or movies or anything having to do with sea monsters/mer-people/lagoon creatures?
Re: Goosebumps and the like
Also, the Baby-Sitters Club.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-28 12:38 am (UTC)(link)As a kid, I thought it would be much scarier than Goosebumps (which were more funny-scary than straight up scary) because it was aimed at older kids. As it turned out, a lot of them were basically just murder mysteries, which I'm not too scared by. Still, I like mysteries, so I was very fond of them.
I read the Baby-sitters Club too. The mysteries were my favorites, but I also liked some of the funny kid antics.
Re: Goosebumps and the like
Oh Baby-Sitters Club! I loved that series.
And some of Sweet Valley High, I really just like the family tree ones the best.
