For me the trick is to go into it with the sense that it would be cool if you met your goal but it's not something to beat yourself up over if you don't. People say you need to set realistic goals but I've found I do better when I set a goal that seems at least a little out of my reach. Then if I don't meet it I don't feel bad because of course I didn't. And if I somehow do meet it then I feel like I can do anything.

That's why I'm stuck on what my goal should be next month. There's one story I'm definitely writing and I'll be aiming to finish it, but I might want to add a second story that I feel ready to write now too.
