tieks

Has anyone ever worn these? I just can't get over my bafflement that anyone would pay $175 for a ballet flat. That's about like paying $100 for a pair of flip-flops.

I had a $50 off coupon so I actually tried these. I went with the shiny patent version because I heard they're a bit more durable than the normal leather, but the trade off is that they're not as comfortable (which I also heard, alas). The top edge (across my toes) digs into my foot more than I'd like.

I've just been wearing them at my desk to try and break them in; I might end up returning them if they never get comfortable for me (fortunately you can return as long as you haven't worn them outside, which I was also counting on when I decided to try them). I'm glad I know what it's like now, at least; I've heard so many internet raves about them. The packaging is super cute, too (I'm easy to amuse).

Never heard of them, just googled them, couldn't imagine paying $295 for what looks like a slipper. D:

They look like Dearfoams from J C Penney.

I read this as someone like JonTron or ProJared trying to say "ticks."

I don't spend over $80 on shoes so these are not for me, lol.

I was wondering if this was going to be a thread about Lyme disease.

Never heard of them, but they're cute!

If they were a fourth of the price, I'd buy them.

I don't spend even near that much cash on shoes. If I'm going to, I'll get a couple pairs in a variety of styles and colors.

People absolutely do pay hundreds for flip-flops, and yeah, I don't get it.

I'm also over ballet flats. Thought these went out of style before the 2010s?

I like the idea of a pair of soft bendy shoes like those, help I owned a pair that I got from Avon, but I'm not that interested in a new pair in that style that I'd put out that sort of money.
