All of this.

It shouldn't take long to see them for who they actually are once you spend some time with them, and if they appeal to you right now, and they're clearly into you... I don't see the problem with going out with them.

Best case scenario, they're great, you enjoy spending time with them and you grow to appreciate them for all their nuances. Worst case scenario... You don't like them as much as you expect, and it doesn't work out. Seems worth a try to me, but you have to make that decision.

(Frankly, if a guy that looked like (Chris Evans') Steve Rogers asked me out, I'd probably faint from pure bliss. Won't happen, but hey. Sounds like you're living the dream! As long as you treat this person like an actual... Well, person, it'll be fine.

I can't imagine not liking them, I like them a lot already...I probably would like them even without my fictional crush (they're adorable, smart and funny and tall, everything I'd fall for normally) but since they're so similar (they even both wear glasses) I can't help but compare the two all the time. I've only known them for two months, so this will probably pass with time, as I get to know them better. I still hesitate to do it, but I agree with you, it might be worth a try, there's nothing to lose really.

And I think anyone wold faint if a Chris Evans' Steve Rogers lookalike would ask them out, he's downright gorgeous.
