See, I've seen a movement for bringing it back, constantly emphasizing that it is and always been a totally value-neutral term for something that you specifically do not want to engage with but has no bearing on anyone else. And I'm just like... what the hell fandom circles were you running in?? Because at the very, very best, it was used as a sort of opposite to kink, a turnoff. But most often, I saw it used to imply "I can't believe I even have to list this because it's an objectively terrible and disgusting thing that everyone thinks is gross hahaha am I right?"
