Lady Librarian on ff.net created a 3-part, massive fanfic sequal to Spirited Away that I actually kind of wish she could just file the serial numbers off and sell off as novels. Well plotted and paced, character development, happy endings have to be earned but there are no perfect outcomes, and the research she did is my new gold standard for how to use and show off your research without info-dumping.

And for an old, dead, obscure fandom, I liked everything written by Dr. Seth, and her tweak of the main pairing (adult-ified for reality from a kids' show) was delicious, and I'm now forever hankering after pairings, preferably in retro settings, between a hyper-intelligent & competent lady and a clever, brave, & insecure-due-to-physical-appearance guy who are actually very complementary but have to grow into it a bit after some misunderstandings. (Thanks, Peggy/Daniel pairing from Agent Carter!)
