*Ahem* Gay guys. Granted, we are not a large audience. Five or less percent of the male population is not big, even though we're very visible (and won't go anywhere so stuff it, homophobes.) But do realize that a lot of gay guys are working behind the scenes on those shows. We slip in our homosexy when we can. Also, straight men don't realize that they respond to the homoerotic stuff too, especially those men who are secure in their sexuality. No, they're not going to go out and get pounded in the butt or go pound any butts, but there is a level or eroticism in hyper-masculine works that all men want. Usually, it's a desire to BE erotic themselves. What dude doesn't want to be sexy?
