60. But it's not a harem anime at all. It's basically just a parody of anything and everything, especially anime stereotypes. I don't know what the OP is so upset over, seeing as all the fanservice in the series exists to make fun of fanservice.

Harem anime? It's FAR from that, also, Nozomu hates girls, and most of the girls in the show traumatized him. Stabbed on the butt, having his house to explode, drowned in an onsen, stabbed by a student who's manipulated by her friend, blackmailed, sued, 'threatened' to marry one of the students in order for him to take responsibility, being an object of kemonomimi fetishists, etc.

In fact, it's parodying it. HARD.

Someone clearly doesn't understand what makes a harem anime. The male lead of harem anime are ALWAYS put off by the female hordes coming on to them, and they're always the butt of stupid slapstick (see: Love Hina, a staple of the harem genre). What makes SZS a harem anime is that it has lots of females fawning over one man, what makes it FORMULAIC harem anime are the things that you just said make it NOT harem.

60. Harem anime can be good, you know. I always thought Ah My Goddess was a nice title. And I bet half the chicks who bash harem anime turn right around and watch Ouran. PBFFF.

That said, yeah, SZS is more a parody than anything else.
