I'm fine with Healy improving his life, I just feel like after three seasons of building him up into such an asshole they tried way too hard to make us like him. There are a lot of difficult to like or otherwise complicated characters on OITNB who haven't been nearly so totally established as garbage.

I just think the formula has been the same since season 1. He's always been pitiful, and for me, I tend to feel badly for sad characters pretty easily even if they're jerks, but it's been that way since season 1. I'm surprised someone would only start to be falling for that formula this season, it's very much on par for him to have a sob story background, his personal life has always been sad.
