How do you get radfem from this?

NAYRT but I presume the theory goes: Radfem wants to "prove" that all men are evil and hate women, so therefore they make a lot of threads about hating women to encourage this conclusion.

Not a theory.

It is a theory. Even if we can say that one user makes both misogynist and rad!fem posts, that doesn't necessarily allow us to make any conclusions about their motivations. They could be genuine about the misogyny, and false-flagging feminism; they could be genuine about their radical feminism, and trying to prove that women are evil; or they could be genuine about nothing and trolling about everything.

They've claimed to be a man and a manchild before.

Either they are one or they are claiming to be one, and the ends seem similar enough so that the rest doesn't matter much.

(Edit: It's like someone acting like a jerk and claiming to be a jerk all over the place, then saying they were just playing, they aren't actually a jerk. At that point, it doesn't matter.)

I think Case might be implying he has data/inside knowledge that confirms what you're saying--making it "not a theory" but a fact he knows.

I could be wrong, but that's how I read it.

My argument is that user data can tell us who makes posts, but it can't reliably tell us what their motivation for making those posts is.

Yup. I just know the same person posts a lot of anti-men stuff, then also a bunch of anti-women stuff, IIRC even pretending to be the boyfriend treating a girlfriend badly at points just to manufacture outrage, etc etc.

"Radfem" anon trying to prove men hate women doesn't preclude them from also trying to make it seem like women hate men, but it's not a theory that they're trying.
