Despite looking like clones of each other, they never really read as sisters to me. Although we were told in canon that they love each other so much, they never had any kind of relationship once separated as children, and seemed like awkward strangers at the coronation.

I could never ship it though. The way Elsa ran off and abandoned Anna, and then shut her out, was just cold and uncaring for me to see any love between them.
