Casca also has a good argument for worst life in Berserk. She was also sold into sexual slavery as a child. Saved by Griffith, who she adores. Claws her way up to his right hand, only to have it all come crashing down when Guts appears. He eventually earns her respect, but then decides to leave Band of the Hawk. Griffith recklessly seduces Princess Charlotte and gets caught, and suddenly Casca is in charge of the Band while on the run from the royal army. She manages to keep them all together, more or less, for a while. Guts shows up again and Casca is so relieved that she attempts suicide. He stops her and they become lovers. They rescue Griffith and Griffith decides to kill everyone. Griffith rapes Casca in front of Guts and makes her climax repeatedly. She is so broken by this that she mentally breaks. Suffers a miscarriage. Is also a demon magnet. Is reduced to a simple-minded damsel in distress for at least 25 volumes.
