I feel like you don't really get Dothraki culture. Have you not watched the show?

I have. I've also noticed that Dany's presence has served to change some key things about Dothraki culture, which indicates to me that they don't necessarily require wholesale murder to win their loyalty. Dany's promising something she can't (and really shouldn't) deliver. Either the Dothraki are her people and she'll sacrifice the people of Westeros to their bloodlust and undermine her own ability to hold the Iron Throne, or she plans to rally people to her cause and rule Westeros and somehow backpedal on her promises of killing and pillage to the Dothraki. Which approach is the smart approach, do you think?

Dany had zero influence on most of the Dothraki. Her khalasar was only a small percentage of all the Dothraki. Which is why she had to kill the khals and take their followers for herself before she could truly call it an army. Probably 90% of all the Dothraki who currently follow her had never heard of her, except in passing as Khal Drogo's wife/widow, until she came out of that burning building. Now, I have no idea what's going to happen when she gets to Westeros, but it's ridiculous to assume that all 100,000 of the Dothraki, most of whom had never seen Dany before, would have been "influenced" by her to change their culture that drastically.

Er, but they already have changed. Do the Dothraki have a tradition of raping female captives? Yep. Guess who demanded an end to that? Do the Dothraki have a tradition of female leaders? Nope. Yet at the end of season one, guess who's now got three bloodriders? Do Dothraki khalasars usually wander around aimlessly after their leader and hanging around in cities instead of living a nomadic lifestyle and going on raids? Nope. But guess what Dany's khalasar spends most of season two and three doing?

Was Dany ever supposed to emerge from the Temple of the Dosh Khaleen? Nuh uh, because Dothraki tradition says that widows of slain khals don't leave it. But when she sets the temple ablaze and kills the other khals, the khalasars bow down to her. Is it Dothraki tradition to name every member of your khalasar as your bloodrider? Nah. But that's exactly what Daenerys does. All those people, most of whom had never heard of her, like you said. And you claim it's ridiculous to assume she could influence them? Suuure. She started off this show as a foreign child bride with no power or position, and now she's the leader of an army despite the fact that it's in violation of a great many Dothraki customs. So yeah, no influence whatever.

Maybe it's you who haven't seen the show.

"Yep, nope, nuh uh, nah, suuuure."

God, it's like talking meta with a butthurt 12-year-old on the playground.
