I think a lot of pro-choice people are for abortion being safe, legal, but *rare*.

But if the woman wants the abortion and Dean is just helping her out (whether he's the father or not), then it is a good thing. If it's his first reaction to hearing that he's the father of the baby, then yeah, that's pretty bad.

Somebody upthread mentioned the Dean-specific reasons (angel condom, demon baby, etc.) why that might be his first reaction. That seems a little more understandable than "oh noes personal responsibility" at least to me.
