But people keep paying her to do her whole "look at me, I'm a quirky geek who's actually really hot, so maybe boys will wank off to me and tell me how awesome I am!" routine. Real geeks are not like her, and people need to stop this shit.

Wow do *you* have issues.

I find this so funny because male nerds do the exact same thing. "That guy who is hot with good hygiene and a fit bod can't be a true geek. True geeks are people like us, not attractive people."

Then again, I would bet that this is male anon who pretends to be a militant feminist anyway.

Right? Jayzus.

ayrt
are you actually for real calling felicia day a fake geek girl

(Anonymous) 2016-07-03 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
nayrt - Anti-Felicia Day Troll is a pretty well-known troll in this community. don't worry about it.

(Anonymous) 2016-07-03 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
But, are they in a relationship with Supernatural sucks-anon yet?

(Anonymous) 2016-07-03 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
They are likely the same troll, but if not, they need to bone, STAT

(Anonymous) 2016-07-03 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, but they have a kid already:

well-played!

Now I'm torn between "Please see a therapist!" and "You really need to get laid!"

Can we have a vote?

So let me get this straight: hot people are not allowed to be geeks?

I mean this kind of explains Will Wheaton's career if true but I don't think it is

Trufax. I was told this once to my face. Politely. I was dumbfounded.

How about hot people don't represent all geeks? I wouldn't care if it was a matter of Felicia Day being a geek, doing her own thing, celebrating geekhood in her own way, but it's not about that anymore. She's Queen of the Geeks. She Represents all Geek Girls.

I don't like that. She doesn't represent me at all, and I resent people telling me she does.

(Anonymous) 2016-07-04 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
I actually agree with this. Sure, there are hot geek girls. And then there are normal looking ones ... just how like most of the general population is normal looking. Plus how she acts. It's just adding another stereotype to a list of stereotypes. I don't get the appeal, in the sense of people propping her up as some kind of geek goddess that we should all admire.

Others have pointed out that hot geeks do too exist, but also, Felicia Day isn't exactly supermodel levels of hot, imo. She's certainly attractive, but in a very girl-next-door kind of way. I have RL (geek!) friends who are at least as pretty as she is. So you're not just wrong, you're comprehensively wrong.
