Short for men - anything under 5'5", tall - six feet and over, with six-three and taller being a kind of 'holy fuck' range.

For women - anything under 5 feet and over six feet. Though i think tall women are fucking hot, and short guys are awesome if they don't have a complex about it.

I'd date anybody, really, if i were in the mood to date, height be damned, though i think i'd find a really talk guy or girl kind of physically awkward sometimes. That would take a bit of getting used to (I'm old. Having to crane up really high to kiss is tiring for me. :) ).
